On Wednesday morning, Reception were so excited to see that it had snowed! We talked about different weather and seasons and found that many of our children had never seen snow before so it was extra special and exciting for them. We had so much fun playing in the snow, touching and feeling the snow and ice, talking about its temperature and texture. What an amazing surprise!

What an exciting two weeks we have had in Reception! Last week, we started our PE lessons in the hall, we loved using the ribbons and pom poms to dance around like fireworks to celebrate Bonfire Night. We also had a go at practicing our cutting skills by making fruit kebabs, which tasted very yummy! This week, we have been reading The Gruffalo and have really enjoyed learning about all different animals in the book, their sounds and where they live – we also have a new favourite song all about the Gruffalo. The children have also been doing fabulous maths, learning all about one more and one less. Well done Reception!
